Potassium sulphate, K2SO4 – concentrated potassium fertilizer, contains 50% of potassium oxide. Potassium sulphate is easily soluble in water. It is very valuable chlorine-free fertilizer, not hygroscopic and does not cake.

When using this fertilizer, it should be remembered that it is highly soluble in water and, after application to the soil, dissolves quickly and reacts with the soil absorbing complex. Potassium and other cations that are part of potassium sulfate are absorbed by the colloidal part of the soil, and chlorine remains in the soil solution and it is easily washed into the deeper layers of the soil.

The effectiveness of potassium sulfate is better manifested in potassium-poor sod-podzolic soils of light granulometric composition and peat soils. On black earth soil, it is usually applied to crops that absorb a lot of potassium and sodium (sugar beet, sunflower, fruit, roots, vegetables). On chestnut and grey desert soils it is used depending on the type of crop, the technology of growing and keeping potassium in the soil.

Potassium sulphate is much more effective in affecting the yield and its quality, if it is used in combination with nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers.

Potassium sulphate is recommended for use on different types of soils, for all crops, and also effectively apply for chlorine sensitive crops and for vegetables in enclosed soil. It is recommended to make under crops that do not tolerate excess chlorine (potatoes, beans, peas, beans). It is recommended for vegetables of mustard family (cabbage, turnip, radish).
